Access Arts Hub would like to meet energetic and passionate individuals or groups who are interested in contributing to the Hub and growing the agenda for accessible arts.
We currently meet every 3 months, with the 4 subgroups meeting at regular intervals. The subgroups comprise of the Disability Advisory Panel, Venue Managers, Content Providers and Audience Development.
Disability Advisory Panel: people with a disability with an interest in the arts; advise, provide feedback and also help to promote the efforts of the Hub within their respective communities.
Venue Managers: people working in venues who offer arts programming share challenges and attend the HUB to strategise for improved Access to venues.
Content producers: Companies, Producers, Artists and Individuals who currently and wish to organise accessible arts events; from storytelling sessions to visual and performing arts, who wish to better understand the adjustments they can make.
Audience Development: a joint group, pushing for better communication of arts events to PWD. Developing and improving websites, booking channels, listings and developing robust feedback platforms to support development.
The expectations of a Hub member:
- To attend both the subgroup and Main group meetings
- Contribute by sharing their best practices and experiences
- Advocate for the Access Arts Hub and more broadly, Arts Access in Singapore
- Positively engage and communicate with fellow members of the Access Arts Hub
